3/17/2024 0 Comments Viper valorantWhile any enemy color will work, purple enemy outlines are by far the brightest! (You don't have to play with blur on all the time if you don't like it, but it's highly recommended you turn bloom on in the preround when you have/will have viper ult up. This will very, very slightly blur the enemies outline, which becomes EXTREMELY noticable when inside your ultimate. Check out Jinzled's video if you'd like to learn more: ĥ) Want to see enemies turn into glowsticks inside your Viper ultimate? Simple! Go to your graphics settings and turn on "Bloom". This is not necessary to learn by anymeans, however, it can be occasionally useful. This method can also be used to wing a smoke lineup. This technique requires you to use the 1x anisotropic visual setting to see the sky pixel and will use the distance between your top hud and crosshair for measurements. The second way, which is much more difficult/more niche/less precise was calculated by Jinzled (who took inspiration from Xellosbrah's sova video). Always be wary of height elevation, as this can affect how high or low you need to adjust your trajectory. Typically speaking, anywhere from 0-20 meters, you can actually just aim at the ping and the molly will land where it's pinged. Since you can see the distance of a ping under it's indicator, it's an easy way to quickly estimate how high or low you need to aim. This is great when you're playing mid-range and need to quickly throw a molly on the spike. When on a flat surface, aka no difference in elevation, a viper aiming at head height will shoot her molly 30 meters. There are basically two different ways to wing a lineup, both are situational, but useful in their own right. After planting the spike, take a moment to think "Do I need to help my team on the site, or do I have the ability to play for lineups?"Ĥ) Let's talk about "winging" lineups. Lineups are meant to enhance your overall gameplay, but they shouldn't be the core focus of it. I like to think of lineups as a seasoning, while valorant gameplay is the main dish. This is why it is extremely important to have your smoke orb cover the spike when playing for postplant lineups.)ģ) Post plant lineups are fun and great for clutching out a round, but please please please use your mollies for other things when necessary. Notice how this does not kill a player with max hp and shields. Mollies currently last for 5.5 seconds and deal 12.5 damage per second (IMPORTANT: her molly also apply vulnerable, causing all targets hit to take double damage from all sourcesfor 2 seconds, including her molly! This means her molly actually does 25 damage per second, equalling to 137 damage total. Decay lasts until the enemy stops touching the smoke, which will last for 1.5 seconds before recharging their health back to their original HP before decaying. Viper's smoke's have a passive called decay, which deal -30 damage on contact, plus an additional -10 damage per second. Her toxin bar takes 20 seconds to fully recharge from 0. Once a smoke has been deactivated, it cannot be reused for 8 seconds*. Viper's toxin bar drains 50% faster when both wall and orb are active, meaning viper's smokes lasts for 10 seconds. As of right now, viper's toxin bar lasts a total of 15 seconds for ONE smoke. Unlike Brimstone, Omen, Astra, Viper's orb can be blocked by obstacles, which can make it hard to use effectively unless you have a lineup.Ģ) Understanding the duration of viper's utility is important because viper's toxin resource can lead to some unfortunate timings if not managed properly. I'm not Radiant or anything, but I have accumulated over 500 hours of Viper (would be way more, but I unfortunately had to take a break due to schooling), so please feel free to take my advice with a grain of salt if you disagree with anything.ġ) Viper is heavily reliant on lineups compared to other smoke agents, so if you'd like to main her, or at the very least, use her for specific maps, then it is highly recommend you put in the time in customs. So, I'm sure there have been other posts like this before, but I thought I'd make my own and share the tips and tricks I've learned for Viper ever since I mained her in the beta.
